There's something about the flavor my mom's Pozole has that no other Pozole will ever replace. All my aunts and family friends know how to make Pozole but they don't taste as good as the one my mom makes. Especially the hot salsa she makes that has cucumber in it gives the food a better taste to it. I like red Pozole more than I like the green Pozole, it's probably because it's the first one I ever tried and my mom normally never makes the green one. And also I prefer the pork Pozole rather than chicken Pozole. Pozole has always been a traditional food in my family and culture, the taste is incredible. It is typically made for parties, and even more common during the winter season during the holidays.
I don't quite remember when I first had Pozole, I must have been really young. It has been my favorite food for as long as I can remember. The first time I had it was once when my mom made it for a celebration/party we had at my house.
